Mister Maker spent hours meeting his young fans who were keen to say hello and have a photo taken with him.
Mister Maker's craft kits are a big hit with kids thanks to the popular CBeebies show, and Hobbycraft is busy with lots of children - and adults - keen to show their creative side in cookery, sewing, art and crafts.
On Saturday the shop was filled with queues that stretched right out the door and up towards Next. And Mister Maker took lots of time to make sure that no one was disappointed as they came to meet their arty hero.
Meanwhile just up the road in The Entertainer fans of Star Wars and The Clone Wars were excited to see a Storm Trooper and a Clone guarding the entrance to the store which was helping to promote the release of the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3D.
Despite their menacing appearance the Clone and Trooper were happy to pose for photos with their young fans who visited the store throughout the day. There's lots more Star Wars events throughout the week. Check our events diary for details.
